$fruits = array('strawberry' => 'red', 'banana' => 'yellow');
echo "A banana is $fruits[banana].\n";
echo "A banana is {$fruits['banana']}.\n";
?>
This script will print:
A banana is yellow. A banana is yellow.
"A banana is $fruits['banana'].\n" will give you a syntax error.
